Your brand, business details and web address
Set your business name, logo, colours and assistant's name, and open SmartDuke on your own domain (TXT and CNAME records, then Verify).
About this app: Your brand & domain on the SmartDuke site
Your customers and team see your business, not SmartDuke: your name and logo in the app, in the customer app and in emails, and your own web address if you like.
Your brand
- Go to Settings → Brand.
- Set:
- Company name: shown in the header and as the sender of emails. Leave it empty to use your business name.
- Logo and Favicon (the small icon in the browser tab): upload a file (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or ICO, up to 1 MB) or paste an https:// link.
- Primary color and Secondary color.
- Theme: System, Light or Dark.
- AI assistant name: what your team and customers call Duke. It's “Duke” unless you change it.
- Check the Preview · member app panel and click Save.

Your free web address
Every business gets its own address: yourname.smartduke.app. You choose it when you sign up, and it can't be changed later.
Use your own domain
You can open SmartDuke on your own address, such as app.yourbusiness.com. Your plan needs to include custom domains.
- Go to Settings → Your web address.
- Type your domain (for example app.yourcompany.com) and click Add.
- SmartDuke shows two DNS records. Add both at your domain provider (where you bought the domain):
- A TXT record named _smartduke-challenge followed by your domain, with the code shown. This proves the domain is yours.
- A CNAME record for your domain, pointing to domains.smartduke.app.
- Wait a few minutes for the records to take effect, then click Verify.
- When it says Verified, your address is ready. The secure padlock (HTTPS) is set up for you automatically on the first visit, which can take a few minutes.
Once your domain is verified, invitation and password-reset links use it. To stop using a domain, click Remove; it's removed straight away.
Business details
Your business name, legal name, country, time zone and currency are in Settings → Business details. See Your business details.
Ask Duke inside the app, or write to us and a person will help.
