Custom fields: extra details on your records
Add your own fields to contacts, companies, leads and products, like a birthday, a budget or a fitness goal.
Custom fields keep extra details on records you already have: a birthday on contacts, a budget on leads, a fitness goal, a preferred contact time. They show on the record's form and page, and Duke can read and fill them in.
Add a custom field
- Go to Settings and choose Custom fields.
- Under Record types, pick where the field goes: Contacts, Companies, Leads or Products (and your custom pages).
- Under Add a field, enter a Name (for example “Fitness goal”) and choose the Type.
- For Choose one or Choose several, type the Choices, one per line. For Money, enter the three-letter currency code (for example INR or USD).
- Tick Required on new records if it must always be filled in.
- Click Add field.

Reorder, edit or delete fields
Fields appear in the order listed on every form. Use the arrows to move them, Edit to change the name, choices or whether it's required, and Delete to remove one.
Good to know
- Your plan may limit how many custom fields you can have in total.
- Imports don't fill in custom fields today.
- Who can add fields depends on their role.
